Sun Belt Cities Continue to Boom

Johnston County was the fastest-growing county in North Carolina between 2010 and 2020, and it continues to welcome new residents to the area. A new Zillow report named two North Carolina cities among the hottest in the housing market in 2022. Raleigh came in at #3 and Charlotte at #5 when compared to the 50 largest metros in the country.

The area continues to see new housing communities developing, and home values are predicted to continue rising by as much as 21% through November.

There's always something fun to do in the Triangle! Here are a few events coming up over the next few weeks.

Feb 8

Downtown Raleigh Valentine’s Treasure Hunt

Guests will gather at Crank Arm Brewing (319 W. Davie St.) before setting off on a Valentine’s Day-themed walking team scavenger hunt. Equipped with their treasure map, they’ll use their wits and teamwork to follow clues, solve puzzles, and crack codes in pursuit of the treasure chest—and a grand prize!

The hunt involves walking a distance of up to 2.0 miles in total and will take place rain or shine, so long as the weather does not become dangerous. The hunt typically takes about 60 minutes to complete.

Catch the excitement as the NC State Wolfpack face off against Liberty in an electrifying baseball showdown at Doak Field! Whether you’re a die-hard Wolfpack supporter or a visiting Liberty fan, this matchup promises to deliver edge-of-your-seat action. Don’t miss your chance to cheer on your team and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere at Doak Field!

Feb 6-23

Carolina Ballet presents Boléro

The Spring Season opens with a playful and unique interpretation of Maurice Ravel’s “Boléro”, choreographed by the imaginative Lynne Taylor-Corbett. A “perfect” couple prepares for a “perfect” day at the beach.

“The elements conspire against them to ruin their day,” Taylor-Corbett explains. “It’s just a pure, unadulterated fantasy.”

Included in this program is a new ballet from Amy Hall Garner.
